I dreamed I was talking to a black man and I was grabbing some change as it was falling.  I was showing the man the change in my hand. While I was showing my hand, I looked over and saw a pile of change in another place. I thought, I will come back later and get that. 

So, questions that I ask after I have a dream are:

#1  Why did God allow me to have this dream?

#2  What would I title the dream?

#3  Is there a context of the dream?

To answer the first question, God wants to communicate with us.  He communicates in pictures, that is what a dream is, a series of pictures.  When you dream, you are watching a movie on a screen in your mind, play out before you.

God uses dream for many reasons. To inform us, warn us, give us revelation, reveal His will for our lives, and show us more of Himself.

So, why did God allow me to have this dream?

At the time,  I was praying and asking God for an increase in finances.  I was at a point in my life financially where we needed a break through in order to pay our bills and have any left over.  Maybe you have been there, or you are experiencing that now.  Your financial well has dried up or is drying up before your eyes and you are concerned.

That’s where I was.  I was selling insurance and the business was catching a change with leads.  The lead buying process that I had been experiencing was going more digital and I was not adapting well.  

In this process, I found myself paying more for leads and not making as many sales.

During this time, I was working part-time at our church for our IT Director, but it was not much money. One day, I asked our Worship Pastor if there was a job board or something the church had.  I was directed to a webpage where I learned about an open position. 

When I read about the description of the job, I did not have most of the criteria that was needed for the position. However, the role was such that I could learn as I go.

I inquired about the job from our Director of Operations and he said he would get back to me.  I only could work about 15 hours per week, because I had other responsibilities in the insurance business.

After a few days, I received word from the Director of Operations that they would like to hire me for the position.  

The date I received news about this was on 7-25-2023, which was about a week later.

The Title: Catching Change

In my dream, I was catching money as it was falling.

Catching change may mean different things to you and your own dreams.  For example, change could be anything from marriage, children, career, ministry, or anything in between.

In my situation, I was praying specifically about a change financially, and God answered that prayer.

The Bible talks about money in many places:

“In all toil there is profit, but mere talk tends only to poverty.” – Proverbs 14:23

“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the grave, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.” – Ecclesiastes 9:10

“For even when we were with you, we gave you this command: If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat.” – 2 Thessalonians 3:10

“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

The Context For the Dream

In this situation, he was with the same church, but in a different ministry.   God has opportunities available to us, we just have to seek him and pray.
